Detailed presentation
Inteligg delivers intelligent, innovative and sustainable solutions for Smart Cities & Communities. It develops products, provides services and engages in research in the fields of energy, transport, environment and rural applications. It is a high-tech startup with founding members of mechanical, electrical, aerospace and computer engineers with extensive experience in R&D&I nationally and internationally, focusing on social innovation, sustainable mobility and economy, environmental impact assessment, energy efficiency and renewable energy, and ICT solutions. We bring smart solutions to our cities!
The problem
Buildings consume around 40% of total energy in EU countries. This corresponds to 36% of CO2 emissions, while 35% – 70% of this amount is used for their indoor heating / cooling and lighting systems, contradicting with the European Directive 2018/844. The EU recognizes the importance of new technologies and control systems to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions; a key contributor to global warming, to low levels (<36%) by 2050. For this reason, it encourages the use of ICT(Intelligent Technologies) to integrate control and automation systems into buildings, improving their energy efficiency. Building automation systems can (depending on building type and equipment standard) produce the following energy savings in various buildings: a) shopping centres 49%, b) offices 39%, c) schools/universities 34%, d) restaurants 31%, e) hotels 25%, hospitals 18%, and residential 27%.
Our proposal
Τhe core product of the company is c-BEMS, which is a self-learning/adjusting Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) tool for Building energy management system (BEMS).It supports multi-zonal control of heating/cooling and lighting systems for higher energy savings of an average of 40% in a variety of public (i.e., Municipalities) and private buildings (i.e., commercial, offices and hotel buildings in our case). c-BEMS brings building automation technologies to a new level by implementing remote control of multi-zonal heating/cooling systems. This happens via Wi-Fi connected sensors and by employing Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms. The aim is to automate the energy consumption behavior detection, thermal modelling of the building, energy demand prediction and optimization, as well as Model Predictive Control techniques boosting the energy savings by optimally controlling the heating/cooling and lighting systems.
