“This Is Not Love”

An Interactive Discussion on the Prevention of Gender-Based and Domestic Violence at CapsuleΤ

“This Is Not Love”

With strong participation and meaningful dialogue, DYNAME - Shield Against Violence held its event, “This Is Not Love: From the First Signs to the Prevention of Gender-Based Violence,” at the premises of the CapsuleT Travel & Hospitality Accelerator.

The event went beyond the format of a typical talk, as it was designed as an interactive learning and reflection experience, giving participants the opportunity to actively engage through exercises, discussions, and the exchange of experiences.

During the session, DYNAME founder Emmanouela Moussama presented practical tools for prevention and empowerment, focusing on recognizing the early signs of gender-based and intimate partner violence. Through everyday examples and guided activities, participants were encouraged to explore the differences between healthy and unhealthy relationships, identifying behaviors that often go unnoticed or become socially normalized.

One of the most engaging parts of the event was the group exercises, through which participants discussed and identified the changes they believe are necessary on three levels: within their close social circles, within the community, and across society. The proposals highlighted the need for greater awareness and education, stronger support structures, the cultivation of a culture of respect and equality, and a more active stance toward incidents of violence or abusive behavior.

The active participation of attendees created a safe environment for expression and the exchange of views, reinforcing the idea that preventing gender-based violence is everyone’s responsibility. Through collective discussion, participants highlighted the importance of early recognition of warning signs, as well as the crucial role each individual can play in fostering healthier and more supportive relationships.

CapsuleT was delighted to host this initiative, which made a meaningful contribution to raising awareness around a critical social issue and demonstrated the power of dialogue, education, and collective action as tools for positive change.

Warm thanks to DYNAME and Emmanouela Mousama for their valuable contribution, as well as to everyone who actively participated and shared their thoughts, concerns, and ideas for a society built on greater equality, safety, and respect.
