Alexandros Vassilikos is a second-generation hotelier and CEO of the AIROTEL Group, which owns and operates a chain of eight hotels in Athens, Patras, and Kavala. Under his leadership, the group has significantly expanded its hotel portfolio and diversified its activities by investing in real estate development and startups. In 2021, he co-founded CapitalH, a hotel management company.
Since 2018, he has been President of the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels, the umbrella organization representing Greece’s 10,500 hotels and campsites, following a long and successful trajectory in all major hotel representation bodies in Greece.
In 2022, after serving two terms, he was elected President of HOTREC and was re-elected for a second term in 2024. As of 2025, he is also an elected member of HOTREC’s Executive Committee. He has served as Economic Advisor to the French Embassy for over 20 years and, in 2024, was appointed President of the Lycée Franco-Hellénique d'Athènes.
Alexandros Vassilikos was born in Athens in 1976 to a Greek father, a hotelier and entrepreneur, and a French mother. He is married and has three children.
He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics and Finance and studied in Nantes (France) and London (United Kingdom).
