Starting from the DET department of the Athens University of Economics, three students, Petros Siachos (CEO), Errikos Tzimas (CTO) and Adam Panagiotidis (Software Engineer), noticed a lack in the real estate industry and later in tourism. Thus, on the occasion of one of their assignments, the three-member team managed within a short period of time to transform this simple research project into a multidimensional, innovative idea that envisioned the digital transformation of Greek real estate and tourism. Then, with the addition of two more members, Ifigenia Mitrelia (CMO) and Giorgos Moutsopoulos (Data Scientist), Estbnb was created, which took its name from the words “estimate” and “bnb”.

There are many people who own a property that they do not use when they do not live in it permanently. Usually this is counted as a holiday home and is only used during the holiday season by the owners. But isn’t it a shame that it is not used in different time periods? The question is: Could this property generate a passive income for its owner when he does not live permanently in it? The income from this activity is immediate. The thing is that the user who wants to enter this process, commonly does not know how to start, what profit this activity could bring him, what changes he could make to upgrade the property and maximize the return. Lastly, he does not know which professional should ask to proceed with these changes.

It aims to develop a platform for estimating automatically the price of a user’s short-term rental property and be able to use it on platforms such as airbnb. The user will receive suggestions regarding changes that could be made to the property in order to upgrade it as an investment and improve its services. Moreover, estbnb will give the user contacts with professionals who can help with this upgrade. These proposals will be accompanied by comments and reviews so that there is a ranking based on the quality of the services of each professional.
