The problem
Hotels face multifaceted challenges in waste management, primarily due to stricter regulations. Producer responsibility requires businesses to oversee waste management from production to final disposal.
Collaborating with certified providers for various waste streams adds another layer of obligation for hotels. Challenges include finding suitable providers for each type of waste and ensuring compliance.
Additionally, the nature of hotel services, where customer satisfaction is a priority, does not allow for errors that could harm the hotel’s reputation and affect guest experience.
